We’d love for our guests to stay close by in Santa Margherita Ligure, a town we’ve come to love deeply. Whether it’s your first time visiting or a return to a familiar coast, we want your experience to feel thoughtful and special from the moment you arrive.
To help make things easy, we’ve hand-picked four beautiful hotels, each with their own unique style — from grand and historic to chic and boutique. While very different in feel, they all reflect the warmth, charm, and timeless beauty of the Italian Riviera.
That said, there’s no pressure at all to stay in these particular hotels — you are absolutely welcome to stay wherever feels right for you. These are simply places we’ve personally visited and loved, and wanted to share as starting points.

A Hidden Gem by the Bay
Imperiale Palace Hotel
This is our favourite. It’s also where we’ll be hosting the welcome party on July 9th, and where we’ll wake up on our wedding day. Built in the 1800s and perched just slightly outside the main centre (a lovely 10-minute walk), Imperiale offers the kind of grand, storied luxury that makes you pause and breathe it in.
From the elegant interiors to its private beach club and gardens, the property feels cinematic. It even played a small role in world history: the Treaty of Rapallo, which helped close the chapter on World War I, was signed here in 1922 — and the room remains unchanged to this day.
Vibe: Old-world grandeur, understated and full of soul
Highlights: Private beach club (no outside guests), beautiful gardens, panoramic views, peaceful location, ample parking
Good to know: Classic ‘grand hotel’ styling — romantic and traditional (not minimalist)

Grand Hotel Miramare
For those drawn to a slightly more contemporary vibe, the Miramare is a stylish and beautifully run hotel located on the Portofino side of town. Think: white shutters, striped umbrellas, a glittering pool, and crisp linen at breakfast overlooking the sea. It’s beloved by travellers looking for a bit of Riviera glam with modern touches.
Vibe: Elegant and trendy, with a fresh energy
Highlights: Gorgeous sea-view pool, chic terrace for breakfast, excellent service
Things to note: While the hotel has access to the beach, it's on a public beach stretch, and many beds are rented to outside guests — Chloe and Harry were not fans - you’d find yourself at the pool more than the beach.

Blu Di Te
Tucked in the heart of town, Blu di Te is an intimate, family-run 4-star hotel with a relaxed, lived-in charm. It’s smaller than the grand dames above, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in warmth. With its rooftop pool, fresh interiors, and slower pace, it’s perfect for guests looking for a more casual yet carefully curated stay.
Vibe: Boutique, artistic, relaxed and full of personality
Highlights: Rooftop pool, fresh and recently opened (2019), walkable to everything
Good to know: This is a 4-star property with fewer facilities, but a lovely local feel

Eight Hotel Paraggi
Set in a tiny, postcard-perfect cove between Santa Margherita and Portofino, Eight Hotel Paraggi is an intimate beachfront retreat with just 12 rooms. It is NOT walking distance to the wedding venue. This one is further away (approx. 10–15 minutes by car or a scenic longer walk).
Vibe: Intimate, coastal, polished — with a touch of retro Riviera luxury
Highlights: Private beach with sunbeds, elegant design, exclusive and peaceful location
Things to note: Small property (12 rooms), slightly removed from the centre of town — ideal for those wanting a more secluded setting
